 Can my child attend Side By Side as a dual placement?

YES!! Children who attend our setting sometimes also attend another setting. In this situation we attempt to have a strong positive link with the other setting whilst sharing any strategies used within the setting to promote consistency.

Can my child have a dual placement within the setting?

YES!! We try our best to ensure children to whom it is appropriate get the opportunity to access both sides of the setting.

Is the SEND side of the setting a separate independent unit?

NO!! We are one setting that works very closely together , ensuring we plan times within the day that children get the opportunity to play together or take part in a planned activity as small groups.

Do you follow a curriculum?

YES!! We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Do you have disabled access?

YES!! Side by side is proud to be a disabled-friendly setting. The setting resides on one ground floor, with disabled access into and throughout the building. We designed our outdoor garden area with children in mind that may have mobility difficulties whilst it still being an extremely exciting and educational environment. 

Do you offer funded hour places?

YES!! We have funded places available for 2,3 and 4 year olds.

Are staff paediatric first aid trained?

YES!! We aim to have all staff in the setting trained in paediatric first aid.

Are all staff Checked with the Disclosure Barring Service?

YES!! All staff and volunteers have up to date enhanced DBS certificates.

What are the minimum number of days my child can attend?

One full or school day is the minimum amount of sessions your child can attend however we recommend more regular attendance to enable the child to feel confident within the setting. this may be at least 2 sessions split throughout the week.

Do you offer 2, 3 and 4 year old funded places?
